Flexible Degree Programs

University of Minnesota--Bachelor of Science in Applied Studies
Offered by the University of Minnesota, the Bachelor of Science degree program in Applied Studies is designed to meet the needs of individuals whose educational objectives cannot be met through traditional degree programs.  You plan a program which meets your career objectives.

University of Minnesota--Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies
Offered by the University of Minnesota, the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies is designed with working adults in mind and allows students to tailor a degree program to fit their needs and interests. Students choose three areas of concentration, out of five possible areas.

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities

Bemidji State University--Bachelor of Science in Career & Technical Education - Post-secondary Education Track 
Offered by Bemidji State University, the Bachelor of Science in Career & Technical Education - Post-secondary Education Track is designed to incorporate up to 32 technical credits from an A.A.S. Degree or 32 credits may be transcripted into the degree from three years of related occupational experience.

Metropolitan State University--Individualized Bachelor of Arts
Offered by Metropolitan State University, the Individualized Bachelor of Arts is designed to incorporate past formal college level learning, prior learning achieved through self-direction, courses taken online and on campus, independent studies and internships.

Metropolitan State University--Degree at a Distance
Offered by Metropolitan State University—First College, Degree at a Distance offers you an opportunity to complete an individualized Degree without having to take a single class on campus. Courses can be taken online, as student and faculty designed independent study, as an internship, through prior learning assessment, or at other institutions.

Minnesota State University, Mankato--Applied Organizational Studies
Offered by Minnesota State University, Mankato, Applied Organizational Studies is designed primarily for working adults that will provide them the qualifications needed to advance in their careers or to change professions. The program provides you with education in communication, in critical analysis, and in organizational leadership.

Minnesota State University, Mankato --Open Studies Baccalaureate
Offered by Minnesota State University, Mankato, the Open Studies Baccalaureate is designed to give highly motivated, self-directed students an opportunity to create their own programs and earn an undergraduate degree. It is a liberal-education program designed for students who wish to major in an interdisciplinary area with a coherency of design.  When seeking the Open Studies degree, you will select three academic areas in which to concentrate your work.

Minnesota State University Moorhead—Bachelor of University Studies
Offered by Minnesota State University Moorhead, the Bachelor of University Studies is designed for students who wish to develop a multidisciplinary major, or complete a generalist degree or have met most requirements of a major and wish to complete a degree in a timely manner.

Southwest Minnesota State University—Bachelor of Individualized Interdisciplinary Studies
Offered by Southwest Minnesota State University, the Bachelor of Individualized Interdisciplinary Studies allows the student to formulate an integrated program from two or more disciplines that meets his/her needs in a more viable way than the traditional majors.

St. Cloud State University--Bachelor of Elective Studies
Offered by St. Cloud State University, the Bachelor of Elective Studies is designed to allow you to come back to college to complete a degree in a timely manner. The program allows you to apply previous credits towards the B.E.S. It also allows you an opportunity to explore several subject areas without committing to one specialty, and you can take higher level courses without completing the full requirements of a major.

Winona State University--BA in Professional Studies
Offered by Winona State University, the BA in Professional Studies is an academically sound program designed to build on past experience and design a degree for current and future needs. The program has a leadership option that allows you to focus major coursework around one or more areas of leadership knowledge and skills.
